Best Zelda Soundtracks

This one is a toughy, especially with not recently hearing some of them.

Between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, I'd probably give Majora's Mask the edge mostly because of the field theme. The last 6 hours of the game also had some nice spooky music, and you can't forget about the ghost music that plays while you protect Romani Ranch. OoT had way better ocarina songs though.

Link to the Past had some good musics too, but besides the main theme I'm having trouble remembering most of them off the top of my head.

Wind Waker seemed to have similar music to OoT, just enhanced/remixed.

Skyward Sword had more orchestrated music which most was great, but not sure if it will be as rememberable.

I would say my favorite is Majora's Mask, but I'm not sure if my recent play-through of it has just influenced that decision, so I will leave this up in the air for now.

Easy pick for me, I absolutely love the Celtic vibe in the Wind Waker music. It is hands down my favourite soundtrack of the series.

Second would be LttP, love that Darkworld theme.

Temple of Time is the God of all Zelda songs, in my opinion. It can't be touched, and it is on a level all by itself.

Having said that, I really don't know if I can pick one game of Zelda music over others. I'd have to just choose individual songs. I'd definitely agree that OoT has the best ocarina music, but I doubt I can say which game has the best overall. That's tough. Although MM does have my favorite ocarina song, Elegy of Emptiness.

Like SAB said, Wind Waker's celtic-esque style is amazing. Dragon Roost Island and The Great Sea are two of my favorites in all of Zelda.

Geruda Valley is right there below Temple of Time, and Hyrule Field for both OoT and MM is great. MM has the Last Day theme, Song of Healing, and the intro music is great. Also, the musical background they give to the Zoras is pretty cool.

seriously though, i love the god damned wind waker. the epilogue scene is one of the best in the series. all you guys were liek NAH IM TOO OLD AND MATURE TO PLAY THIS KIDDY SHIT. me and yoda were the only ones who got it day one i think. GAH!

Oh, Link's Awakening had some great tunes too. The Ballad of the Wind Fish (i think that's the name) is fantastic.

Seriously, the complaints about the graphics (or anything else) are asinine. Everything about the game is brilliant.

my favorite track is still the song of storms. but overall MM has some great music. the WW music went really well with the tone/feel/style of the game
