For people who have seen the movie and wondering about how his sword is assembled, this link shows how it's technically possible for such a sword to exist.
Amazing how much detail they spent on the sword, when they could have just used the buster sword and pleased everyone, especially since in the early trailers he was using the buster sword for fights.
