Underwhelming. Not bad, per se, but the trailers are very misleading. All the actors are completely stiff / awful, with the exception of Bryan Cranston, who's massively underused. It was visually spectacular, but I feel like in 2014 there's no reason for a movie not to be, so that's not enough. I might be just tired of ZOMG DESTROY ALL THE BUILDINGS!!1.

I like that point.

It takes a bit more than for a movie to grab me than it just being a "spectacle". Every blockbuster is gonna have shit getting ripped apart. It's like this new Xmen movie.

He lifted the golden gate bridge in the third one. Call me when he rips the Earth's molten core out or something.
 
Yeah and I already saw a stadium get blown up in The Dark Knight Rises. Regardless of the quality of that movie, y'know, they still blew up a stadium.
