Since the last update, a few things have happened in the Gears world. Gears 2 unsurprisingly took over the top of the multiplayer chart, away from Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. However with the matchmaking issues, will it stay there for long?

NXE also went live on the 19th, whats everyone's opinions on that?

Cliff Bleszinski also did an interview a couple of days ago that can be read here. He discusses Gears 1 multiplayer and how it's effected Gears of War 2, how much more they can go with the Unreal engine, and also discusses Resident Evil 5.

Site wise, I've been working on recording videos and putting some of them on youtube. I've added the "top links" section to the right so it's easier to find our videos.

According to www.vgchartz.com, Gears 2 has currently sold 2.68 million copies in the 2 weeks it's been at retail. Keep in mind that the aforementioned website is pretty damn unreliable, but considering there was a press release about Gears 2 selling over 2 million in its first weekend, it's probably pretty close to the actual figure. November NPD numbers will be released in mid-December, and that'll tell us how much the game sold from release to Nov 30th.

The vast vast majority of games make 98% of their lifetime sales in the first 90 days after release. In mid-January when we get December's NPD data, I am betting that Gears 2 will have sold at least 5 million copies. The original sold 4.7 mil.
