This game is sort of paradoxical to me; It isn't as GOOD of a game as SSFIV, but I'm enjoying it more and it's keeping my attention longer.

How is it paradoxical? It's a horrible, dated game (some of that being intentional of course) and that's your milieu. An analogy if you will.

Everyone plays the same in Mortal Kombat. Characters and players. Just dial-a-combos and fatalities. There's no disparity of skill until you get to just extreme upper level play.

As in 98 percent of people are average, and the other 2 percent use the intricacies of the engine to make it a high level game.

I can't imagine this game being that fun to play online. Input was pretty laggy offline for me, just feels like a presentation-first fighter.
