To me it sucks
Reason 1: the story was to weak most of the main characters die in the first 30 mins .
Reason 2:The main body of the story is Umbrella want Alice blood because of her ability to bond with the T-Virus, the corporation seeks to develop a permanent cure to save what is left of humanity. Under the orders of Umbrella chief Albert Wesker, Dr. Sam Isaacs attempts to create a cure without Alice, using clones created from her blood.

To me this just dosn't feel like Resident evil at all

but make up your own mind

Yes and yes. There are plenty of good zombie kills. I really didn't go into this movie for the story, perhaps thats why I enjoyed it more.

Odis was in the second and third movie. He was awesome. They call him CJ, AJ, some stupid name, but it's Odis. Man, he was cool. And Alice does ruin a lot of zombie shit. And the ending of the third is pretty awesome. I'd say the last two are pretty good. First one is complete shit.

Though to be fair apart from 5 minutes of RE4 I've never played an RE game either

Apparently the Original Resident Evil remake for Gamecube is really good, so I'm going to grab it later and give it a try.

Yeah, the laser grid in the first movie was pretty awesome. That's about all it had going for it though. And I've never seen The Devil's Rejects, and I never will because it looks like shit. The RE remake for the gamecube is pretty good.

Joe you need to dive into RE. Especially RE 4. And RE 5 when it comes out. RE 4 is fun as hell. Plus it has awesome replay value. I've beat 4 at least five times now.
