Tournament Ideas

I've been kicking the idea around to Travis of having some different kinds of tournaments since everyone doesn't have Live or even Xboxes for that matter.

What if we had something that we could do through an emulator? Let's say we put up a SNES emu and a Super Metroid rom, give everyone a week, and see who can beat it the fastest? Maybe require you to take a pic of the complete screen and some way to prove it's you?

Anybody think this is a neat idea? Could we do this legitimately do this or would everyone just try to cheat?

Eventually the idea is to give away prizes, like a Virtual Console Game/Microsoft Points/Years worth of Live/etc. However I feel this will make cheating even more tempting.

Who can get the most exits in Super Mario World in a certain amount of time?

It would be a neat idea. Travis, I dunno if prizes like that are a good idea. Maybe since it's just us and I doubt we'd cheat against each other, but if we ever get a lot of members someone would be bound to do it.

it is very possible, one could use netplay to observe a gamer in the tourney
I have played a few games with my bro cross country it is possible
I would totally win the Link to the past speed run....
