The remake features off-screen play and revamps the original's cel-shaded visuals into a Pixar-esque cartoon style in 1080p. The new "Tingle Bottle" item allows players to communicate over Miiverse by channeling Sting hurling bottled messages into the ocean. Messages will also wash up on the shorelines of other players. The original game's "Pictograph" camera now carries Miiverse support and will allow players to post screenshots in the social service's Wind Waker community.

Went ahead and preordered. I wonder if it will be $60 otherwise.

BTW, some of the changes in Wind Waker HD:

• Completely redone graphics and lighting. 1080p at 60FPS.
• Wind Waker, cannon and crane are all on the d-pad so that you no longer have to pause to pull them out.
• The process of playing songs on the Wind Waker have been sped up.
• Pulling up treasure with the crane has been sped up.
• You will at some point receive a secondary sail that allows you to sail much faster.
• Tingle Tuner has been replaced with a Miiverse Tingle Bottle.
• The Triforce side quest has been changed, somehow.
• You can now keep up to 12 pictographs.
• Game pad integration. (IE. gyroscopic aiming, maps and inventory on the bottom screen)
• Some of the sound effects have been redone. (you got a thiiiing!)
• You can now move around when in first person mode with the dual analog or gyro controls.

The new sail/faster song playing might alleviate all my problems with travel in that game.

I prefer da Japans where its all colored and not the gold tone on everything but link.

In my opinion the Japanese box art looks too cluttered. I like how the gold tone makes Link stand out.
