What a thread. A+

Mass Effect series can be summed up by image.

Will the next Mass Effect be any good. It has to be, right?

Lauren had some video game easter egg youtube vid on all night as like white noise and man, i was seeing some of the old gears games compared to the new ones.

there's no way mass effect can be good, video game development has become marvel movies. just dreck being churned out that all looks the same and parrots the same boring woke messages you're bombarded with from every other facet of your daily life

That doesn't make you a terrible person at all. I think it's WISE to admit and realize that you are too selfish for kids.

Better to never have kids because you weren't ready, than to have kids and not be able to give them all the attention they need.

I think the thing about ME 3 is after having it sitting on my digital shelf for a couple years and going back and playing the legendary edition trilogy is all the bullshit from the original release is gone now. Ending be damned, it's just about going and hanging out with my boys Garrus and Mordin and sleeping with Liara and my galactic side piece Diana Allers.

It's just pure fun nostalgia now and going back to spend time with old friends.

I never got thru 2 in the legendary edition. The only reason was I played it to death. I did play 3 years later on PC with mods and it was a lot better. It just shows me how important it is to have a group of good writers. The foundation was laid in ME1, but they didn't do much to further the main narrative in 2 and it made 3 an impossible task. Even if it was an impossible task, their effort was rushed, silly, and, at the time, insulting. If they make the destroy ending canon and explain in an interesting way who/what financed the andromeda initiative, the franchise MIGHT be salvageable.

Its just the politics of the 21st century being hamfisted into a fuckin space opera I can't take. If Dragon Age is any indication, it's all it's gonna be.

It was blatantly obvious going into the ME 2 DLC back in 2011 that they had written themselves into a corner. The original 3 release just proved that and it was justified to be pissed at the time. Kudos to them for the damage control over time, but I thought, outside of the Aria Omega/Cerberus DLC, most of the updates didn't land at all. I didn't give a shit about the Citadel party and adding a tangible face and background to the Reapers with the Leviathans made no sense.

I think Andromeda is a lost cause. I see it the same way I see the new Dragon Age. Just shitty writing from a group of people who don't understand or appreciate what made the original games so good. No, they just wanted to take a Krogan and make it sound like Richard Simmons.

Regardless, the original trilogy is just pure nostalgia and as I beat ME 3 for the 50th time, I don't really care as much about each ending but more of how I got their in the first place.
