Now that I've got that out of the way, EA has released a 3 minute gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3, the first non-spinoff title in the Battlefield franchise since Battlefield 2 was released 5 years ago. I've been waiting for this game since 2006, Y U TAKE SO LONG EA!?

They're also going to release a remake of Strike at Karkand from BF2, which is easily one of the best multiplayer maps of any game of ALL GAWT DAMN TIME

It's a direct sequel to BF2, easily the best game in the Battlefield series, and the team has stated that MP is the central focus of the title.

I hope they don't fudge this up. PC is the lead platform and allows up to 64 player battles, with the consoles maxing out at 24. Sounds pretty much just like BF2.

Still, they're totally capable of fucking this up, so I'm hoping and praying it stays true to BF2.

I had more fun playing Super Mario Kart with Travis for an hour and a half the other night than I've had with the entirety of the Call of Duty franchise.
