This gen being 360/Wii/PS3. If anybody still refers to these as the 'next gen consoles', I will fucking kill you.
I only own the 360 and it has some fanfuckingtastic games. My vote for best game so far is Oblivion. I played it when it came out, and was inevitably somewhat disappointed because of how huge the hype was. It was still great, though, but nowhere near as good as Morrowind. However, I've been playing it for the last month, and I'm enjoying it far more than I did the first time around. I've put almost triple the amount of hours into it this time, too. The Shivering Isles was awesome.
Other picks for me are Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, and prolly Halo 3.
