I know there aren't MANY here who watch animu but GODDAMN THIS SHOW HAD SUCH A TERRIBLE ENDING.
It started off with a cool concept and whatever, and there's a shit ton of gore that made it at least a little entertaining to watch, but ugh. The show follows a couple of main characters who got their asses run over by a train. And once they died, they were teleported to an alternate dimension where they have to "play a game" I guess is what you'd say. They have to like, fight aliens. Fucking Japan. Once they eliminate all of the aliens, they get to go back to the "real world." But, they can be summoned back to that alternate dimension at any time. The only way to avoid going back to that dimension is to acquire 100 points in this game or whatever; they get however many points for each alien they kill.
The animation studio, GONZO, is the worst ever. All they use is shitty CGI and awful animation. For fuck's sake, they're too lazy to draw patterns! I mean just look at this trailer for another show they made!

Anyway. Gantz was a cool enough idea but if you're REALLY INTERESTED, you should just read the manga instead. Don't waste your time watching some anime with an ending that isn't canon and is just an "ARTISTIC VISION" by some dickhole at Gonzo.
